On behalf of Friends of Rim Country Gila Community College, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the Fall Festival and Pumpkin Launch on November 1, 2025, at the Payson Golf Club. This exciting community event brought together families, friends, local businesses, volunteers, and supporters for a day filled with fun, laughter, and unforgettable pumpkin-launching excitement. The event was made possible through our partnership with the Payson Golf Club and the generous support of our community.
One of the highlights of our Fall Festival and Pumpkin Launch was watching pumpkins soar through the Arizona sky. There is something unforgettable about seeing a pumpkin loaded into a launcher, counting down with a crowd of excited spectators, and then watching it fly hundreds of feet across the golf course. The combination of engineering, anticipation, and pure fun creates an experience that appeals to children and adults alike. Every launch brought cheers, laughter, and plenty of photo opportunities as families gathered to see just how far each pumpkin would travel. The Pumpkin Launch was more than just an attraction—it was a chance for our community to come together, share in a unique experience, and create lasting memories while supporting local students and educational opportunities. Thanks to the enthusiasm of everyone who participated, this exciting event became a true crowd favorite, and we are thrilled to bring the adventure of launching pumpkins back to Rim Country in the future.
We are deeply grateful to all who attended, volunteered, sponsored, and contributed to the success of this fundraiser. Your participation helps Friends of Rim Country GCC continue our mission of providing scholarships and educational opportunities for students at Gila Community College’s Payson Campus. Together, we are investing in the future of our local students and strengthening our Rim Country community.
We are excited to host this event again in the future and look forward to making it even bigger and better. The enthusiasm and support shown by our community made this inaugural Pumpkin Launch a tremendous success, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another day of family fun while raising funds to support local students and higher education opportunities in Rim Country.
